Binary Code
Author: Sidharth
The binary code is the numerical system that is built upon two symbols, numbers ‘0’ and ‘1’. It is the most basic form of programming data that is understandable to a computer. The binary codes are created in a series of 0s and 1s organized in a structured way to become a part of the computer application.
In a binary code, the decimal numbers (0 to 9) are in groups of four binary digits called bits. Using the fundamental Boolean algebra, the four basic arithmetic operations namely addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division can also be performed in binary numbers.
Blockchain, the distributed ledger system, also stores data in the digital database in the form of bits (strings of binary 1s and 0s). After being analyzed by the computer it is then converted into human texts. So in one way or another, binary codes are the foundation behind Blockchain.
