Block Header

The block header helps in identifying a particular block in the vast ocean of the Blockchain. This gets hashed repeatedly to create a proof-of-work for mining rewards.

The series of blocks, the prime constituent of the Blockchain are used to store relevant information regarding transactions that occur in the Blockchain network. Each block is designated with a unique header to find them easily in the blockchain individually.

Block headers are mainly used in the Bitcoin developer documentation to record tasks quickly with utmost convenience. The vast information that is present in a Blockchain can be simply stored in the database and flat file. When blockchains are considered as a whole,  block headers help in picturing them as vertical stacks.
