Block Height
Author: Rubin
The Block height of a particular block is defined by the number of blocks that precede it in a given Blockchain. The block height mainly represents the number of blocks already confirmed previously in the Blockchain network. This confirmation is counted exactly from the genesis block which is also known as 'block zero', until the most recent block.
The block height chart on the other hand indicates how steadily new blocks can be discovered in the Blockchain. Although mining difficulty is yet another factor to consider as well. The block height of a Blockchain allows the developers to understand the current size and its overall time of existence in the market.
