Email Spoofing
Author: Rubin
Email Spoofing is a technique used by cybercriminals to send forge emails to users. As the name suggests, it makes them believe it is sent from a trusted source. Email Spoofing is intended to steal one’s sensitive information, such as bank details, security numbers, and many more. It can also inject malware to manipulate your personal information.
Despite a strong email system, email spoofing continues to increase in number. You can identify a spoofing attack if there are suspicious attachments or if the email sounds too good to be true. We recommend you not to share confidential information over emails.
