An infinite mint attack refers to an attack where the hacker mints an infinite or absurd number of tokens with the protocol, resulting in a huge increase in supply. This drastically debases the value of the token, resulting in a severe price crash.

Blockchain is often subjected to such attacks, where the hacker exploits the system vulnerabilities. One of the best ways to prevent infinite mint attacks is by deploying smart contract audits through various farms. Although audits don’t guarantee complete security for the protocol.
