#Glossary
The integrated development environment (IDE) is a program that enables the development of applications. Oftentimes, IDEs have a GUI-based workbench that assists the developer in creating software applications.
IDEs come with a plethora of tools including debugging, data structure browsing, and version control that enables the programmer to swiftly facilitate the workflow. IDEs also significantly cut down the overall language learning curve.
