The moon has played a significant role in the sentiment of investors in cryptocurrencies. By using the phrase, ‘going to the moon,’ investors state that they are affirmative of the coin's increase in price substantially.

Just like every other crypto parlance, it is very difficult to find the exact agenda behind using a particular term. But ‘moon’ became one of the most commonly used phrases somewhere around 2017.
