Multi-Party Computation
Author: Sidharth
#Glossary
Multi-party computation (MPC) as the name suggests is a cryptographic mechanism for distributed computation operations. In MPC, the computation operations are distributed among several parties with no single entity being able to foresee others’ data.
MPCs are often used by data scientists for joint data analysis without being able to peek at others’ data. MPC is also implemented in blockchain, ensuring the privacy of the concerned parties. With MPC, participants can come to a mutual conclusion without the need to disclose private data.
