Overview
About
Proof of Humanity is a dapp created with the purpose of creating a Sybil-resistant list of humans.
To build this list, it combines social verification with video submission. It is meant to be used by individuals as a point-of-entry to a myriad of new use cases that require Sybil-resistance to be able to be deployed at scale and also to be plugged into a variety of existing and new applications in need for such identity systems.
Humans who wish to be included in the registry submit information about themselves serving for verification. Registered profiles collect UBI Tokens.
Users already in the registry vouch for people registering. By vouching for someone, a user guarantees that the person he vouches for exists and is not a duplicate of another entry in the registry.
Users can challenge pending submissions that they think don’t comply with the requirements for acceptance. When a submission is challenged, the decision goes to dispute resolution in an ERC792 compliant dispute resolution system like Kleros.
Proof of humanity avoids duplicates in a list of humans, that enables a number of innovative use cases: Better Funding Mechanisms, Innovative DAO frameworks, Universal Identifiers and Self-Sovereign Identities, Certification and Reputation Systems, Sybil-Resistant Airdrops, Yield Farming and NFT Distribution, Anti-Spam Tools, Sidechains Secured by Proof-of-Humanity Consensus,
PoH has an internal governance that can be found at https://gov.proofofhumanity.id
